Gold Winner: Fighting Hate with Kindness by Daishowa-Marubeni International Ltd., Peace River Pulp Division
With a fully supportive partner, Peace River’s Tim Hortons, PRPD hosts the annual event in recognition of Cst. Daniel Woodall’s death in 2015. Cst. Woodall was responding to a call involving a hate crime.
Over the past three (3) years, PRPD invited local first responders – the RCMP, Peace River Correctional Centre, Alberta EMS, and our Fire Fighters to attend to the counter and drive-through window at Tim Hortons. With smiles and lots of laughs, this first-responder’s team delivered coffee and a message: be kind.
